“My dream hunt would be a coues deer hunt in Mexico, I would love to hunt the ‘gray ghost,’ fair chase style in his terrain. I know a lot of people think that the coues deer is not that neat of a trophy, but I think that they do not get the credit they deserve. They are so small in stature and horn size, but I think they are one of the most beautiful trophies one could ever be lucky enough to harvest.
I remember ever since I was a little kid that someday I would love to add a coues whitetail buck to my collection. I would love to share this hunt with my mom and dad, who instilled my love and passion for hunting into me when I was just a little boy. My dad made me a promise when I was younger that if I recieved my Eagle Scout Award he would buy me any hunting rifle I wanted. When I did recieve my Eagle Scout Award, I chose a .300 Weatherby Mark V Deluxe (just like the ones my mom and dad had hunted with for years). To this day that is the only gun I have hunted with, and the only gun I will ever take on the mountain. I love the .300 Weatherby rifle so much that I actually have three of them. I am a true believer that nothing shoots faster, flatter, or hits harder than a Weatherby!”
