“My life has been very good to me and I have had the chance to hunt and fish from the Arctic Circle to Central America. Having hunted sheep, moose, deer, caribou, elk and almost everything in between, including all species of waterfowl in North America except two...I have changed my thinking of what dream hunts really are.
I personally feel a dream hunt for me would be to spend as much time taking kids, new hunters and fisherman...and ladies out in the field so they to can take part in the wonderful tradition I have been so blessed to see and experience. My hunting has taken me to every state in the U.S. as well as every Province and Territory in Canada. I would certainly love the chance to take others where I have been and show them just what the wonderful outdoors really is and what it’s true meaning is.
I have spent time in the stone sheep camps of the Yukon and I have taken huge bull elk in Utah. The definition of a dream hunt is not spending $50,000 on a 10-day hunt but maybe going on an average public land hunt in Colorado or a mule deer hunt in Nebraska. These hunts are just as memorable as the ‘big’ hunts. My feelings are that most hardworking adults and our up and coming youth would be happy just taking part in the great outdoors. I always say, ‘It’s not what you get...it’s how you go about getting it!’ Family, friends and special places have always made an ordinary hunt a dream hunt to me!
I certainly hope this tells a little about my dream hunt. I am only 33 and I have spent many days in the field and I think this story is truly my definition of a dream hunt!
